realestate.com.au has launched the beta version of a new Australian residential real estate website that will list agents properties for free.
property.com.au is a Web 2.0 testing ground for innovations such as sliding bars that let users refine searches with a single mouse click.
The website will encourage users to provide feedback on almost every page so that the most popular innovations can later be incorporated into realestate.com.au.
“property.com.au is a window into the future of real estate websites and has real estate search tools that have never been seen before in Australia,” REA Group’s managing director Simon Baker said.
“We can’t take such an experimental approach on realestate.com.au because there are more than 3.7 million visitors each month who love that site how it is now.” he added.
According to REA Group’s GM for Australia and New Zealand Shaun Di Gregorio registered real estate agents will now see every one of their properties also listed on property.com.au – at no extra cost.
“For consumers, this means property.com.au will offer new search tools and 90% of the listings on the market today, the largest list of properties in the country,”
