Valad Property Group has appointed Andrew Martin to the board as an independent director.
The appointment of Martin brings the total of independent directors on the board of Valad to four out of six directors.
Martin’s career has included stints in the United Kingdom and Indonesian property markets; and extensive work with a number of Japan’s major real estate investors, banks, institutions and developers.
Martin spent 23 years with Jones Lang LaSalle in a number of senior management and board positions, including a helm as managing director of JLL Advisory, which was responsible for research, valuation, strategic consulting, asset management and private placement capabilities.
Prior to retiring from JLL, Martin was an international director of the capital markets division and was responsible for the disposal and acquisition of real estate across the commercial, retail and industrial sectors, acting on behalf of both domestic and international investors.
Martin has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales, and is a: Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors; Fellow of the Australian Property Institute; Registered Real Estate Valuer; and a Licensed Real Estate Agent.
