Three industrial buildings in Burleigh Heads, Queensland have sold for a $2.8 million.
The recently refurbished property at 32 Leda Drive comprises three semi-modern block industrial buildings, measuring 800 sqm, 354 sqm, and 562 sqm, with 320sqm of mezzanine area.
Buildings two and three also feature some office space. The property includes a large hardstand/parking area and is zoned Industry 2.
The property was offered to the market with an existing lease over building two, which expires in August 2008, allowing the purchaser to buy as a going concern and not have to pay GST on the sale.
The property was jointly marketed by Pat Cavanagh of Colliers International and Richard Impiombato of Thompson May (Brisbane) on behalf of vendors Gemfield Banner Pty Ltd.
Cavanagh said the auction of the property held on-site was the subject of strong interest, with eight registered bidders competing for the property.
Impiombato said the property was sold under the hammer to a local expanding business within the immediate area who will be an owner occupier as well as retaining their existing industrial facility.
