Financial audit, tax and advisory firm, KPMG is also expanding its operations in New Zealand.
KPMG Wellington is moving to a new premise at 10 Customhouse Quay in the Wellington CBD, and will occupy five floors totaling 3,700 sqm.
KPMG’s Wellington managing partner Andrew Dinsdale said this is the first time the Wellington firm, which employs over 700 staff – 200 in Wellington, has shifted in 17 years.
KPMG worked in combination with local architects Warren and Mahoney and Geyer, as the lead designers, who have also designed the interior fit-out for KPMG Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne offices.
“The new location offers areas for client presentations and entertainment, with meeting rooms that have the latest communications technology enabling partners and clients can link nationally and globally,” he added.
10 Customhouse Quay is one of Wellington’s most modern office buildings, other tenants in the new building include law firm Chapman Tripp.
The move by KPMG Wellington follows KPMG’s decision to anchor Hawaiian Property Group and Multiplex’s Bishop See development in Perth earlier this week.
KPMG has precommitted to approximately 7,000 sqm on the St George’s Terrace site known as Bishop’s See, on a new 10-year lease plus two five-year options.
