Brisbane based listed diversified financial group First Capital Group has appointed Sydney lawyer David Grey as its general counsel.
Grey has also been appointed company secretary of First Capital Securities.
This is the second major appointment for the group after former senior MFS executive Mark Phillips joined First Capital Group as the managing director of First Capital Securities.
Prior to his appointment, Grey was the head of legal for ASX listed Australian Wealth Management.
He has also held senior legal and compliance roles at AM Corporation Limited, AMP Superannuation Limited, Perpetual Trustees Australia Limited and company secretarial positions for Questor Financial Services Limited and Bridges Financial Services Pty Limited.
First Capital Group’s managing director Les Freeman said that Grey’s appointment continues First Capital’s goal of building a highly experienced management team to assist in bringing to fruition the Group’s growth strategy.
Freeman hinted that First Capital would make other senior appointments in the final months of 2006.
