Macquarie Office Trust has appointed Ross Satterwhite as the new head of North America.
Satterwhite brings with him existing knowledge of Macquarie Office after helping execute the trust’s US investment strategy over the past two years. He was advisor to Macquarie Office on the Principal America Office Trust portfolio merger in November 2004 and the formation of the Maguire Properties Group joint venture in October 2005.
As the former Senior Vice President of Investments at Equity Office Properties Trust, Satterwhite managed over $US4 billion of real estate transactions including single asset and portfolio acquisitions, and investments in operating companies, first mortgage and mezzanine debt, developments and joint ventures. He left Equity Office in 2004 to establish Iron Bridge Capital LLC, a private real estate advisory company.
MOF’s chief executive Simon Jones said with Macquarie Office’s US assets growing to over half of the trust’s portfolio, Satterwhite’s addition to the team comes at an exciting time.
“Ross has made an invaluable contribution to the trust’s recent US acquisitions and we are pleased to bring him on full time. His exceptional credentials and proven track record will enhance the team’s ability to maximise performance from the US portfolio and deliver results for investors,” he added.
