Bovis Lend Lease has won the $130 million project management design and construction contract with Colonial First State Global Asset Management to deliver two new campus style buildings at Homebush Bay for the Commonwealth Bank.
The two campus buildings will house approximately 5000 employees totalling 33,000 sqm of A-grade campus style office space.
The buildings will be approximately 14,000 sqm and 19,000 sqm respectively.
Bovis Lend Lease’s commercial general manager Tony Costantino said Bovis Lend Lease has a long and successful delivery track record with the Commonwealth Bank and has been working with the tenant on the project for some time.
“We have undertaken a significant global study exercise with our client to understand world’s best practice in campus-style developments and workplace.
“The current building will be delivered using an innovative tri-partite agreement between the Bank, Colonial First State Global Asset Management and Bovis Lend Lease,” he added.
“The agreement will allow the tenant a unique direct communication path to the project managers and designers, rather than the more traditional model where the tenant works through the fund and/or developer to communicate with the project manager and designer,” Constantino said.
