One of Australia’s most sought after development sites the prized Cheltenham racetrack in Adelaide remains for sale.
The South Australian Jockey Club yesterday confirmed to Australian Property Journal that the race to win the magnificent parcel of land in the centre of Adelaide was still wide open with “no developer” having an edge in the contest.
Cheltenham Park is one of Australia’s prized development sites.
SAJC members voted to sell the racetrack at a special general meeting in November last year.
The South Australian government has imposed a condition that 30% of the site remains open space instead of the usual 12.5% requirement.
It is certain to be one of the most sought after development sites on offer in recent years in Australia.
