Multiplex had another small victory yesterday with the High Court rejecting Cleveland Bridge UK’s request to appeal the judgement delivered by Justice Jackson earlier this week.
Yesterday, Justice Jackson also directed that the parties attend a Case Management Conference to take place in the next three weeks so that he may give further directions concerning the assessment of the damages and other amounts to be paid by CBUK to Multiplex following his judgment of earlier this week.
Justice Jackson also ordered CBUK to pay 80% of Multiplex’s legal costs while Multiplex is not required to pay any of CBUK’s costs of the recent trial.
Meanwhile, Justice Jackson ruled that CBUK should make an interim payment against costs to Multiplex of £700,000, payable within 14 days.
Multiplex shares rose 7 cents $3.46 on the trade of 3.6 million shares.
