Two of Australia’s largest law firms will soon live under the same roof with Middletons Lawyers making a move to Melbourne’s iconic Rialto Tower.
Middletons has signed a 6,000 sqm lease at $280 net per sqm.
The law firm will join long-term tenant Minter Ellison, which currently leases 14,150 sqm at Rialto until November 2011.
Middletons departure from 200 Queens Street, will leave a gap of six to seven floors in the building.
However, property sources told Australian Property Journal the top floors vacated by Middletons at 200 Queens Street are expected to be snapped up very quickly.
“200 Queens Street is premium grade space,” he added.
Property sources said Middletons was enticed over to Rialto with “chunky incentives”.
Rialto is located at 525 Collins Street in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
Rialto is a linked, two tower development comprising 55 lettable floors in the South Tower and 40 in the North Tower with over 92,900 sqm of lettable space.
It has five levels of underground car parking for 612 vehicles, an observation deck and rooftop communication centre.
