Macquarie Office Trust has acquired an 80% interest in two US office properties totalling $US112.8 million ($US90.2 million for MOF’s 80% interest).
The acquisitions, the Trust’s first offshore investments, are a joint venture partner, Brandywine Realty Trust, a publicly traded US office REIT.
Macquarie Office Trust acquired One and Three Christina Centre, both A grade US office towers located in the Central Business District of Wilmington, Delaware, a sub market of the greater Philadelphia region and centrally positioned on the US eastern seaboard.
“These properties offer very strong fundamentals and will add diversity to the Trust’s portfolio whilst significantly improving earnings,” says Chief Executive of Macquarie Office Trust Simon Jones.
“We have previously outlined our US strategy and are delighted that it is now being executed with these excellent assets.”
